Columbia is a planned development of 541 homes on a Castro Valley hilltop overlooking the East Bay. Surrounded by East Bay Regional Park District open space, many homes have spectacular canyon or bay views. Columbia has a small community feel while providing all the benefits of living in a large metropolitan area. Deerview Park, owned by the Hayward Area Park and Recreation District provides picnic, play and basketball areas for the community. The association owns and manages a private pool complex for the enjoyment of homeowners. Living in Columbia is like leaving the city and going to a peaceful park like setting every time you come home.
